Ten days later Amanda and Duncan pulled up in front of Methos' flat and were astonished to see a "For Rent" sign hanging in the window and a moving van waiting to be filled. Methos came out carrying a box and ran smack into MacLeod.
"Nice timing," The second oldest immortal said as he passed the box off to Mac and followed Amanda inside. MacLeod stood there for a moment in confusion before placing the box in the truck and then went inside in search of answers.
Amanda, with a panicked look, was standing inside the door watching Methos tape up another box. Kiris came out of the bedroom with two garment bags hanging off each hand. Amanda ran to help still confused.
"Hey!" the Highlander said in a loud voice. All eyes went to him. "Will someone tell me what's going on?"
"We're moving," Methos stated. "What's it look like?"
"Moving where?" Amanda asked in distress.
"We're leasing a house down the road a little," Kiris said. Something sparkled from her hand as she walked back into the bedroom.
"So you two are living together now?" A relieved Amanda asked Methos. She raised her eyebrows with a knowing smile.
"That's what married people do, yes," Methos said with obvious delight at seeing his friends' mouths drop open. They then noticed a thick gold band on his ring finger.
"You're married?" Mac was amazed. "When did that happen?"
"A week ago," Methos replied with a smile.
Kiris came walking out of the bedroom right then to her friends looking
a little surprised and her husband looking quite smug. Methos walked
over, put his arm around her waist and said, "Amanda, Duncan I'd like to
introduce you to Mrs. Adam Pierson." Kiris glowed and held up her left
hand. The emerald-cut diamond adorning her ring finger was so large
that Amanda had to dismiss thoughts about stealing it. The younger
immortals looked at each other in wonder and then Duncan grabbed an
empty box and asked in an amused tone, "What do you want in here, Mrs.
Methos?"
